London has something
of a reputation to maintain as a centre for
tourism, commerce and politics. Few cities
around the world hold sway as London does,
attracting millions of visitors each and every
year for a wide variety of personal and
commercial reasons. Once they arrive, they are
treated to traditional London hospitality -
brash, opinionated
cab drivers, gutwrenching
traffic jams, and exorbitant accommodation
fees in
central London hotels.
While the various
sights and sounds of England's capital are
rarely within your power, your lodgings
generally are. With a bit of searching, you can
avoid staying in London's needlessly pricey
hotels and find yourself one of many decent
discount London hotels. As far as
hotels in central London go, the location
and price is often far more important than the
facilities offered - in such a modern,
cosmopolitan city there is so much to do that
you only really need your hotel room for
sleeping.
The
Danubius Hotel in Regents Park, for example,
offers a prime location in the quiet, safe St
John's Wood area of central London. However,
within easy walking distance are such
attractions as London Zoo, Madame Tussauds,
London Planetarium and the home of cricket,
Lords; making the Danubius a prime choice for
the London
tourist.
For those
visiting London primarily to engage in on of the
city's most famed activities - retail therapy -
the
Rathbone Hotel is positioned just a few
minutes' walk from
Oxford Street and Soho, spitting distance
from some of London's most chic boutiques,
department stores, bars and restaurants.
Regular visitors
run the risk of starting to consider London as
standard fare - but a sojourn at the
Sunborn Yacht Hotel, Docklands can soon
change all of that. As the world's first
custom-built yacht hotel, the Sunborn features
luxurious, roomy suites and all the facilities
and technology you would expect from a hotel on
dry land. Set in the heart of the Docklands
area, a thriving business district with trendy
shops, bars and restaurants around its many
wharfs. |
